It is a program that decrypts recorded DVB transport stream files (*.ts)
with the recorded control words from a CWL file using the common scrambling
algorithm. Unlike cardsharing (where tv program is decrypted instantly during transmission), tsdec uses the offline method. This means, the user needs a cwl file containing the keys for the time and channel of this recording to be able to decrypt it. This cwl file usually is created by a person with access to a valid subscription card. Tsdec itself neither comes with decryption keys nor enables pirate viewing.
