SXP stands for Simple XML Persistence, and is a lightweight C++ library built around expat which provides a simple mechanism for enabling the objects in your application to persist (i.e. read from and write to) in a XML file. SXP's major selling points are ease of use, efficiency, and acceptable performance.

In this version two stupid bugs related to UTF-8 support were fixed, more code was moved from the header to the CPP, and the code was changed to compile against the newest expat version. The autoconf madness, which confused a lot of people, was removed, a bug which lead to steady memory leaking was fixed, and more-or-less decent error handling was introduced, with reporting of expat errors together with the row/column in the XML where the error occurred.
