Snownews is a text mode RSS/RDF newsreader. It supports all versions of RSS natively, and other feed formats via plugins. It depends on ncurses and uses libxml2 for XML parsing.

The output charset can now be specified with a command line option in case the automatic detection has failed. Display of feeds that contain excessive tab characters has been improved. It's now impossible to launch multiple instances of snownews. A compilation problem on Solaris has been corrected.
