gMFSK is a multimode HF terminal program that can send
and receive many digital conversational modes typically
used by radio amateurs on HF. It uses the computer
soundcard to interface to an SSB capable transceiver. All
digital signal processing is done in the main CPU so any
soundcard should work.

RIMiGate is a floppy-based Linux distribution for
running WA4DSY's aprsd. Its goal is to make it easy
to deploy igates for the APRS project.

Xdx is a client to connect to a DX-cluster for
amateur radio. DX messages will be displayed in a
list, and announcements will go to a text display.
In addition to the usual functions, if you have
hamlib installed it can control the radio and set
the frequency simply by double clicking a DX-spot
(using rigctl).

Thebridge is an EchoLink-compatible conference bridge that runs under FreeBSD, Linux, QNX, Windows and hopefully most other POSIX-compatible operating systems. EchoLink is a VoIP system used by Ham radio operators.

tk10 is open source, multi-platform software for configuring the ICOM IC-R10 portable receiver. It lets you read a memory image from the receiver or a file, view and change settings using a graphical interface, and sort memory channels by frequency or by label. Users can import and export memory channel data from CSV files. tk10 can then write the image from the computer back to the radio.

TNT is a packetradio terminal for use with hostmode TNC (or tfkiss) and ax25-kernel. It was originally developed by Mark Wahl. TNT works on Linux, Solaris and NetBSD. Actually is should also run on DEC Alpha, since most routines were converted to 64-Bit.

Open5066 is an implementation of the NATO NC3A
STANAG 5066 protocol stack for HF radio
communications. It aims to implement all of SIS
(Annex A), DTS (Annex C), and some of the
application layer (Annex F) functionality such as
HMTP. The concrete embodiment of Open5066 is the
s5066d daemon.

snake5 is a communication algorithm for exchanging
information between nodes in a dynamic changing
network. Sender and receiver nodes try to have the
same data at the same time, despite delays. A
simulator is provided.

Sam is a Morse code trainer. It is a bash script that runs in a terminal. It beeps and boops out the command-line arguments in Morse code. If there are no command-line arguments, then it beeps and boops the Usage message. Simple, no? But the gimmick is that it prints out the text to the terminal, and the cursor below the text keeps track of which letter is being sounded.

YFKlog is a general purpose ham radio logbook for
Unix operating systems. It runs in text mode,
which means it can easily be used on a remote
server, even from Windows computers with PuTTY. It
features a simple console-based user interface, a
MySQL or SQLite database backend, the ability to
manage an unlimited number of logs, ADIF import
and export, easy log backup, high quality QSL
(cards and labels) printing with LaTeX, award
tracking/statistics functions, and ARRL LOTW support.

FT100 is a combination of tools used to control a
Yaesu FT100/(D) Transceiver. It features a
commandline program (ft100) and a Kylix frontend.
It also compiles and runs using Cygwin under
Windows.

The ax25-tools package contains the tools that you need to get going with AX.25 for Linux. AX.25 is a network protocol that is used by hamradio operators across packet radio wireless links. This package contains the network tools to configure hamradio interfaces and some of the hamradio specific network daemons. In addition to programs that understand AX.25, they also work with ROSE and Net/ROM hamradio protocols.

tk75 is a multiplatform control and cloning
program for the ICOM IC-R75 shortwave receiver.
It lets you control the IC-R75 from a computer
and download/upload the radio's memory channels
from/to a csv (comma-separated values) file using
a graphical user interface. A logging facility
records active frequencies, intercept time, and
relative signal strength automatically while
scanning. A session history window lets you return
to a frequency you've monitored using a single
mouse click. tk75 affords easy access to radio
controls which are buried within the radio's
menus (e.g., DSP Noise Reduction level).

CwTutor is a Morse tutor supporting the Koch and Farnsworth
method. It can play random characters, random files, and
random words taken out of one or more text files.
