BoneCP is a Java JDBC connection pool implementation that is tuned for high performance by minimizing lock contention to give greater throughput for your applications. It currently beats all known connection pools, including C3P0 and DBCP, as shown on the benchmark section on the site.

The Tinyserial library is a space-saving alternative to the Arduino software distribution's libraries for reading and writing characters and strings to the USART0 serial port on the Atmel ATmega168 and ATmega328p MCUs found on Arduino Diecimilla and Duemilanove boards. While the Arduino software distribution's libraries provide interrupt-driven serial I/O with far more features and support more MCUs, the Tinyserial library provides only the most basic polling-based serial I/O. However, the Tinyserial library uses far less Flash and SRAM, thereby giving you room to implement larger and more complicated applications on your boards. The Tinyserial library respects the GNU libc ABI, so you can call into it from C and C++ programs.

The Arakhnê.org Network Editor (NetEditor) is a Java component that permits you to edit and show connected graphs. The graph defines the constructs of a visual language, and NetEditor is able to render associated figures. NetEditor is based on a metamodel composed of the node, edge, and anchor (or ports) constructs. It has a strong separation of the visual-language constructs and the drawings. It provides tools to code graph-drawing layout algorithms. Two algorithms are provided: Ganswer-Sugiyama and Coulomb-Hooke force-based algorithms. Standard UI features are provided: graphical editing of the graph structure, depth levels for nodes and edges, undo, and redo, clipboard, and drag and drop management. The NetEditor API is able to export the graphs to GIF, JPEG, PNG, BMP, SVG, PDF, EPS, PDF, Graphviz DOT, GXL and GraphML. The document file formats used by NetEditor are GXL, GraphML, or NGR files (zipped GXL/GraphML).

ContiPerf is a lightweight testing utility to easily leverage JUnit 4 test cases as performance tests, e.g. for continuous performance testing. It is inspired by JUnit 4's easy test configuration with annotations, and by JUnitPerf's idea of wrapping Unit tests for performance testing, but is more powerful and easier to use. It uses Java annotations for defining test execution characteristics and performance requirements. You can mark a test to run a certain number of times, or to be repeatedly executed for a certain amount of time. Performance requirements can be maximum, average, medium, or any percentile execution time. You can run tests in two different modes, using them as simple unit tests or performance tests. Easy integration with Eclipse and Maven. Export of an execution summary to a CSV file. A small library without external dependencies (only JUnit).

FEniCS is a collection of free software for automated, efficient solution of differential equations. It has an extensive list of features, including automated solution of variational problems, automated error control and adaptivity, a comprehensive library of finite elements, high performance linear algebra, and many more. It is organized as a collection of interoperable components, including the problem-solving environment DOLFIN, the form compiler FFC, the finite element tabulator FIAT, the just-in-time compiler Instant, the code generation interface UFC, the form language UFL, and a range of additional components.

The pbs_python package is a wrapper class for the Torque Batch System C library. With this package, you now can write utilities and extensions in Python instead of C. This package was developed to replace xpbsmon by an ASCII version named pbsmon. PBSQuery is also included in this package. This is a Python module built on top of the pbs Python module to simplify querying the batch server. There are a lot of examples included in the source package.

J7Z is an alternative 7-Zip GUI. 7-Zip is a high-compression file archiver designed by Igor Pavlov. Use J7Z if you want to: update existing archives quickly; backup multiple folders to a storage location; create or extract protected archives; and lessen effort by using archiving profiles and lists.

Duplicati is a backup system and an implementation of Duplicity. Duplicati enables you to set up and monitor backups on Windows or Linux. Duplicati is based on the Linux-only Duplicity backup system. Duplicati has a very user friendly interface that allows you to configure and monitor your backups. It supports backing up to a variety of destinations, such as a network folder, a USB disk, a remote FTP server, a remote SSH server, Amazon S3 storage, or a WebDAV enabled server. All backups can be encrypted and are digtally signed, so that no other person can read or tamper with the backed up data.
